About Us

Our Story

Capitol Coffee didn’t start with a business plan.
It started with a record.

The story begins with Robert Willey—a lifelong music lover and the man behind the family’s first record collection. His son, Jeremiah, picked up the rhythm early. As a teenager, he spent weekends flipping through thrift store bins, pulling anything that caught his ear—funk, soul, jazz, whatever had heart. The stack grew. So did the idea.

Capitol Coffee became Jeremiah’s way of pressing play on something new.

It’s more than a café—it’s a tribute. To the deep grooves of the 1970s. To the crackle of a needle drop. To the feeling you get when the music hits just right. Drinks here aren’t just brewed—they’re built, bartender-style, with a little flair and a lot of soul.

Rooted in Linden, California and inspired by decades of sound, Capitol Coffee is where flavor and nostalgia live on the same track.

Because around here, we don’t just serve coffee—
It’s about what’s playing while you drink it.

Born local, staying loyal. We’re proud to be part of the Linden story.

Jeremiah Willey

Founder & Vinyl Curator

Jeremiah grew up digging through dusty crates of records with an ear for soul and a mind for craft. Capitol Coffee was his way of blending those passions—creating a space where every drink feels like dropping the needle on the right track. He runs the day-to-day with heart, hustle, and a playlist always queued up.

Our Beans, Our Sound

Great coffee deserves a great source. That’s why every cup at Capitol starts with beans from Verve Coffee Roasters—sourced through direct trade, roasted in Santa Cruz, and crafted with the same intention we pour into every drink. Their farm-to-cup philosophy echoes our own: do it right, keep it real, and never cut corners.

Because when the beans are this good, you don’t just taste it—
You feel it.
